We seek to offer a seamless integration between our Business Support Services and Physical Accommodation.
Business Support Services
All Business Support Services are delivered through the High Growth Business Club (HGBC) and entrants need to pass through an initial appraisal before being offered membership. You can apply for an interview online.
Once you are accepted into the club you will be assigned a Mentor appropriate to your situation. Your Mentor will be your main guide through the entrepreneurial journey and help you to access the wealth of services available to you. These include :
- Business planning and strategy (including advice for new and potential technology and creative entrepreneurs)
- Sales and marketing (including strategy development, market identification, sales lead generation and approaches to launching new products / services in both existing and new markets)
- Facilitating access and raising appropriate finance (including Business Angel and Venture Capital funds)
- Product innovation, design and manufacture (including new product development)
- Technology consulting (including commercialisation, intellectual property protection, commercial and technology collaboration)
- Human resources, training and recruitment (including management selection and development)
- Accountancy, legal and taxation (for high growth businesses)
You don’t need to occupy a desk or office at the Innovation Centre to access our business services. In addition to assisting people in the building we work with the wider South London business community both as HGBC members and through events and showcasing. We also seek to work with other public funded organisations at their locations in the form of outreach.
Equity Teams
Sometimes the best way forward for a high growth business is to “employ” the services of a specialist and reward them with equity rather than cash. This is an extremely good scheme for the entrepreneur as it conserves cash and binds them closely to those providing the skills. The equity team system used at London Innovation Centre even allows the company to access the skills of different specialist depending on the stage of the business, without renegotiating the deal.
Physical Accommodation
Businesses at different stages of development have different accommodation requirements and we seek to provide as wide a range as possible. We operate a hub and spoke model with the hub in Lombard House, Croydon and spokes throughout the London South sub-region.
The Lombard House location is newly refurbished to highest standards and provides a dynamic and entrepreneurial atmosphere :
- Hatchery – Hot Desk for pre-revenue business start-up
- Incubation Centre – Fixed Desk in Open Plan Office
- Separate Office – Separate Office/Studio – with Business Support – For Businesses who want their own separate accommodation
- Graduation Space – Directly Contracted with our property partner, Workspace Group, either in the same building as LINNOC or elsewhere.
Light industrial & studio space is also available from Workspace Group.
Licence Fees for Physical Packages include :
- Rent, Business Rates, Insurance, Electricity and Air Conditioning, Kitchen facilities with free tea coffee etc
- Meeting and Showcasing Room (up to 2 hours per week)
- Intranet with companies pan London
- Photocopier and Fax (subject to usage charge)
- Manned Reception
- 24 hour access
- Security Cabinets (at extra charge)
