partners in London Innovation Centre

We seek to partner with as many organisations as possible to increase the resource pool available to our clients and reduce the duplication of service provision in the public-funded sector.

Our main partners are the London Development Agency (LDA) the Mayor's agency responsible for driving London's sustainable economic growth.

We also have partnership arrangements with Business Link London, Oracle, Workspace Group plc, Briffa, Lawrence Graham The Hyde Partnership and the Franfind Resource Centre.

London Development Agency

The LDA seeks to ensure that London remains a global success story by working with partners from industry, public and voluntary sectors to deliver programmes that regenerate London, support its people, encourage business and market London as a place to visit, live or invest in.

Unlocking London’s knowledge assets through innovation are the key to successfully securing growth for all London’s businesses and boosting our economy. There is a strong evidence base to suggest that business can increase productivity through uptake of innovation.

The LDA focus on securing this objective by intervening to change business behaviour to embrace innovation (the successful exploitation of new ideas incorporating new technologies, design and best practice) and is the key business process that enables London’s businesses to raise business productivity and compete effectively in the global environment.

The provision of innovation centres for businesses to grow along with access to finance including seed funds & grants to support innovative business practices and assistance for businesses carrying out knowledge transfer from our world class HEI knowledge base, is an LDA initiative delivered through London Innovation.

Workspace Group plc

Workspace Group provides good value, small-unit accommodation for rent in London on user-friendly terms mainly to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The SME sector in London is a vibrant and growing marketplace and Workspace Group, as the principal supplier of workspace in this market, shares in this growth – almost doubling the value of its portfolio in under three years.

At 31 March 2006 Workspace Group owned 104 estates valued at £964.3m and comprising over 5.77m sq ft, providing accommodation for almost 4,000 customers in Greater London. Around 97% of Workspace Group properties are within the M25.

Workspace Group views its tenants as valued customers who have chosen the Group because of the location, quality and flexibility of the services it provides. Efficient in-house management and marketing of its estates enables Workspace Group to offer a superior service, to create higher levels of occupancy, and to improve rentals. The Group recognises its social and environmental responsibilities – whether through urban regeneration and co-operation between the private and public sectors, through recycling of waste or other initiatives. At the same time it produces an attractive financial return for its shareholders.
